Deacon Board

Our Deacon Board serves as the official governing body of the church. The deacons are servants in the Church as outlined in Acts chapter 6. To carry out the assignments as appointed by Pastor, being men of honest report, full of the Holy Spirit and Wisdom.


To assist the Pastor and use the office of deacon to a good degree; visiting the sick, praying for the down-trodden and depressed. To assist in the Worship experience, Communion and Baptism, always serving in the spirit of Mathews 23:1.

Board of Trustees

 The Ministry is responsible for the care and the maintenance of the church’s property. The Trustee is accountable to the church, pastor and must manage all of the church’s business with integrity and honesty.


Now it is required that those who have been given a trust must prove faithful.

DEACONESS BERNETTE VEREEN

Deaconess Board

The Mission of the Deaconess Board is to help provide spiritual growth to the congregation through prayer, and teaching.The Deaconesses also mentor and instill Christian values and beliefs in young women. Finally they assist the Deacon Board by preparing for Communion Services, maintaining Communion vessels and linens.


1 Timothy 3:11 (NIV)- In the same way, the women are to be worthy of respect, not malicious talkers but temperate and trustworthy in everything.

ANNETTE CARRINGTON

Hospitality

The Hospitality Committee purpose is to greet our visitors and members each Sunday morning before they enter the Sanctuary. As greeters, they wear cheerful smiles and warm hearts, and their goal is to make everyone feel welcome!


Mission: Be kindly affectionate one to another with brotherly love; distributing to the necessity of saints; given to hospitality.


Romans 12:13 (NIV) – Share with the Lord’s people who are in need. Practice hospitality.

MOTHER MARY TABORN

Missionary Committee

Missionary Committee are to teach and train servants to serve God by having a heart for  all missions; reaching the community and bridging the gap for those away to stay connected.


Matthew 28:19-20 (NIV) – Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.

Scholarship Committee

The  Scholarship Committee is dedicated to supporting students in their educational and spiritual growth. The committee reviews scholarship applications submitted by church members, evaluates each applicant’s academic achievements, Christian character, church involvement, and selects recipients who best represent the values of the congregation.

Its goal is to invest in the next generation of leaders who will continue to serve God and the community.
